We take soil conditions into account to ensure the hole is deep and wide enough for a secure set.

Once the hole is ready, we assist in raising and positioning the pole. Depending on the pole size, we may use our skid steer or loader with special rigging to lift the pole and guide it into the hole. This is done carefully and methodically, with safety as the top priority. We make sure the pole is oriented correctly (for example, aligning cross-arm directions or light fixtures as needed) and perfectly vertical. Our equipment and attachments are heavy-duty – designed to handle large poles – and our operators are experienced in using machinery to maneuver unwieldy objects.

After the pole is upright in the hole, we backfill around it in layers, tamping and compacting the fill dirt (or gravel mixture) thoroughly to set the pole firmly. For some projects, concrete may be used to backfill for extra stability, which we can also handle. We double-check that the pole remains plumb during backfilling. The result is a safe and secure pole placement that will stand straight and withstand the elements. We don’t consider the job done until the pole is solidly in place and meets all relevant guidelines or specifications.
